I have not posted anything lately. Of course I am busy with radio. Its winter and I am doing a lot of things. The shack has finally the new ceiling. I only have to mount the led lamps. I had to find lamps witch do not radiate bad signals on my radio’s I have mounted one and this is a good one. No signals on my radio’s. So I ordered a couple.

I am now preparing for the PACC contest.
For the PACC have set up a four square for 40m. The new towers are not in use so I have to do some temporary things also. I am planning a small mast with a rotary dipole for 10 15 and 20m and 2 dipole antennas for 80 and 40m. Thomas PA1M was here to help me set up the 27m High vertical for 160 and 80 m.
I had bad luck with the SteppIR antenna. One of the elements was hanging a little down. We repaired it for now so I can use it for the PACC. I think something is broken in the EHU unit.
The switch off all the HF antennas is already in the field so that’s a bit difficult with no towers around there.
I have also set up a few beverage antennas to help me receive the weak signals on the low bands.

With the new towers still on the ground I need an extra antenna for 20 meters because I want to run so2r.
Therefore I have built a two element phased vertical system.  It has two main directions, north west and south east. I can with it also as an omni antenna.
The antenna has two verticals of about 5 meters high, a switch box, 2 84 degrees phase lines and a 71 degree loop line. For a low angel take off am lot of ground radials are necessary!

Today Thomas PA1M was here the help me with building the guy wires.

You need a little force.

Yes we need a lot of these... There are 24 more but these are only for the Phillystran. The other 24 are for the stainles steel.

The (four) tower project is going in the right direction now. There were some problems to solve and with the help off the tower builder it will be ok soon. I have now 3 of the 4 towers ready to be lifted in place. The fourth tower will be replaced by a new one. And I hope to receive this one very soon.
The towers are rotary but also there will be the possibility to turn the top antenna. The will be done next year. But I already mounted the mast for the top antenna and fixed it to the one off the tower legs. We are now in the process of building the guy wires. The upper part of the guy wires are from Phillystran and the lower part is from stainless steel wire. We are using grips to connect the Phillystran to the towers. For all goes according to plan then we will lift in each tower one yagi. I am going to use the yagis I have used in the versatowers and a the Optibeam and a two element for 40 meter. Next year we then will add mono band yagis and put the antennas in there final position. I have to build the mono banders and time is running out.

The four yagis are: C31XR Force 12 14 elements for 10 -15 and 20 meter.
Optibeam 7 elements for 10 – 15 and 20 meter.
SteppIR 4 elements for 10 -15 and 20 meter.
Force 12 2 elements 40m yagi.

The towers are isolated from the ground. The plan is to feed the towers for 160 meter.
The towers placed in a square. 40 meters apart. So if this is going to work then we can switch it as a four square.
