Received first signals on 144mhz in the new shack.

The last couple of days I have brought the cables for the switching of the preamps and the steering of the rotator from the barn to the new shack. I also brought the coaxes for rx and tx on 144mhz and 50mhz to the new shack. I can receive now signals from one off the 3 144 Mhz towers. The other two will follow soon.

Attention: Changes at PI4GN in 2012

PI4GN the last years two sites where we could contest after we had to leave the power plant in the Eemshaven in 2001.

Nanko, PA0V hosts the 70cm and up station.
Timon, PA1T hosts the 144 MHz station.

In 2012 due to new rules we had to make some changes. The locations stay the same but the callsign for 144 MHz will change to PA1T with locator JO33JF. The callsign PI4GN will stay for 70 cm and up with locator JO33II. After the contest the points from PA1T will be added to PI4GN for section B in Dutch competition.

PA1T JO33JF – 144 MHz
PI4GN JO33II – 432 MHz up to 24 GHz

We hope to work you all.

Preparing for contest season 2012

On Wednesday 29 Februari Jaap PA0T, Gerard PE1BBI and Eric  PD1ET went to Nanko PA0V to prepare for the contest. During winter time the mobile tower is taken away in a barn and most antennas also. So in march there is always more work to do as in the other comtests.
